Hi, I'm Heidi.
I am a North East Ohio native, and divide my time between Akron and Cleveland, as well as traveling the world as much as possible. For the last three years I have worked full time for Stephanie Sheldon as Brand Manager / Senior designer / Photographer at Indie Foundry. On the side I'd shoot weddings and families primarily. At present I continue to specialize in portraiture photography but I am now taking on retainer clients so that I can build strong, lasting relationships with my clients and focus on continuous content creation.
Shooting weddings and capturing real moments seems in many ways separate from branding, identity work, and commercial photography; however all of my work carries the same characteristics: attention to detail, authenticity, thoughtful composition, creativity and my own personal touch. Everything I do whether it's for a couple, a family, or a business, is designed to share a story in a way that is accessible and real.

Some things about me.
I love to travel. In our new business ventures Steph and I intend to travel all over discovering new markets and lifestyles. I am also available to travel long distances for shoots.
Just traipsing around Iceland.
In my leisure time I sometimes paint, but mostly I just lay in bed drinking fancy cocktails, and tell my cat she's the silky one and ask her if she got all her cute from the cute store [spoiler: she didn't, she can't drive and has no money]. She usually just flops and around and screams at me dramatically. I also have an 18 year old chinchilla named Claude [may he live forever], but frankly he's kind of cranky and we don't talk about him much, or to him for that matter since he just squawks angrily.
Some abstract paintings. I honestly haven't painted in months, but it's one of the best ways for me to zone out and be more fluid than I can be in design.
Bellatrix Lestrange The Wizard Kitty: The silky one.
I really love my home, I spend a lot of time decorating and organizing my space. I have spent YEARS finding the right rugs [only for Bellatrix to pee on them because her new litter box isn't cool enough to use]. I was able to redesign my kitchen and I am going to continue subtly dropping hints about remodeling my bathroom until my landlord realizes it's a great idea to let me redesign that too. Keep the dream alive.
My most recent acquisition, a scooter from Coast Scooter Shop, one of Indie Foundry's clients. Steph presented me with this for my birthday and I love it so so so so much. I never learned to drive, but I am allowed to drive this! Yes, you heard right—I do not drive. For one stop shoots I use a rideshare app or my scooter, and for longer days I hire an assistant. So it's not a problem. In fact, I am far better at getting around than say someone whose car breaks down and they don't know what the heck to do. But maybe I'll learn to drive, anything is possible. Oh, and I love Harry Potter, cocktails, riding my bike and toast.
